Chico Bike Challenge Sponsors
Local businesses or individuals may be featured on this page in exchange for significantly sponsoring bicycle commuting within our community. An example of this could be donating bicycles or bicycle safety equipment to schools, organizing events, or providing bicycle education.
United Health Care’s enthusiasm for Bike to Work Week will extend beyond their business doors. During Bike Week visit the energizer station located on the Class I bike path which travels from East 20 th Street to Humboldt Road. United Health Care will provide water, healthy snacks, hand sanitizer, and maps along with encouragement for cycle commuting. Their table will be available Monday May 10 to Friday May 14 from 7 AM to 9 AM.
Butte Bicycle Coalition (
http://www.buttebicyclecoalition.org) coordinates Bike Chico!, which contributes significantly to Chico’s Bike to Work Week. This is the 5th year that the BBC has hosted the Energizer Stations for bike commuters and promoted bike week to the community. Fifteen schools in Chico participate and a number of events throughout the week are offered to encourage cyclists.
